Activities are in place to enhance students’ interest in language and theatre art skills – show and tell, role play, skits enactment, etc. Dictation of words / sentences / phrases is emphasised.

Raising pertinent questions based on allotted reading materials is encouraged. Identifying opposites and using different sentences are part of the course work. Sentence forming using a set of keywords is also focused upon.

Writing numbers (up to 999) while another group reads them out adds to the teaching structure. Applying place values for writing greatest/smallest numbers using three digits is included. Developing multiplication tables for factors of 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 by relying on different methods – skip counting and repeated addition – are encouraged.

As per NCERT Syllabus, EVS (Environmental Studies) is introduced from Class III and upwards.
